The First near Grindelwald is one of the best thermal spots. Therefore, the thermals can be strong on certain days. The First cable car provides access to the beautiful meadow take-off area a few meters below the mountain station from the center of Grindelwald. The take-off area is wide, large and forgiving. The dreamy panorama invites you to have fun. The long flight distance to the landing field in Grund should not be underestimated. If for some reason the flight altitude is not sufficient to reach the landing place in Grund, you can land at the landing place in Bodmi. The landing place is located next to the cable car. It is clearly visible after the first pylons on the way up. The landing place is demanding and is therefore only recommended for experienced people.
