Hill site for paragliders

The Herchen site was prepared in 2010 and approved by the Deltaclub Rheinland. The launch site is very steep. Therefore the glider handling must be mastered. Launch only with clear downwind. Instruction by club required.

Before the first take-off, each pilot has to be instructed in the special airspace structure due to the proximity of the areas to the Cologne/Bonn airport.
For training flights one instructor is required at the take-off and landing site. Student pilots must be proficient in take-offs in steep terrain. For training flights, the landing area must be approached directly. Weather conditions must be suitable for training flights.
3. Victory shall be flown over with sufficient altitude. Departure to the landing site must be in good time.
