In the middle of the lowlands lies the heaped up coal dump "Halde Norddeutschland". One of the few possibilities for slope launches and groundhandling in the area. Best with southwest wind. Cross country flights possible. Guest pilots are welcome (3 Euro per day). Important: No access with motor vehicles.
Winch towing operations may only be carried out if a marshal, who can see the entire towing and path area, secures the flight operation with radio communication to the launch site / winch. The marshal must ensure that the tow path is clear and that there are no passers-by on the paths or in the vicinity of the tow path and that there is no danger to third parties. The slope path in the NW, which leads to the towing area, is to be additionally secured against unauthorized access.
The winch area must be cordoned off in accordance with the winch operator's regulations.
