Hill site for paragliders

Landing areas: Approved landing areas of the DCB Ruhpolding
Height difference: approx. 600m

1. take-offs are only allowed with clear downwind. No take-offs in crosswind or tailwind (danger of turbulence). If there is a danger of leeward effects due to trees or terrain relief, flight operations may not be started.
2. all pilots must be briefed by the terrain manager or persons appointed by him (e.g. air traffic on the mountain, take-off site above in the ski slope, emergency landing areas, dangers).
3. above the take-off area there is another take-off area in the ski slope (Flugcenter Ruhpolding / Skybanani). Simultaneous take-offs are not permitted. Pilots must carefully check the free airspace before take-off. Take-offs may only take place if the airspace is free and no paragliders from the take-off area above (Flugcenter Ruhpolding) are in departure. During training operations, the flight instructor must ensure that there are no simultaneous take-offs with the risk of collisions.
4. several wind spies must be installed in the aisle at intervals (actual wind).
5. flight assignments in the course of training for the A-license are not allowed.
6. before the first flight, student pilots must have made at least 5 high-altitude flights from another launch site (reason: no line of sight to the landing site, airstrip launch). During training operations, an instructor or assistant instructor must be present at both the takeoff and landing sites. Radio communication between student pilot and instructor must be ensured.
7. tandem take-offs may only be performed with an exact headwind. The wind speed for tandem pilots must be at least 10 km/h.
8. take-offs during simultaneous skiing operations are prohibited.
9. consideration must be given to alpine pasture operations with grazing and to people seeking recreation.
