Hill site for paragliders

The Palatinate Paragliding Club was able to approve the site "Sponsheimer Berg" after a lot of commitment and work. It is probably the most important terrain of the club and offers super conditions with east wind. Beautiful view into the Rhine valley. The launch site was newly prepared by the club. In strong easterly winds, lay out further down. Toplanding possible and relatively easy. Important: Follow the site rules and the new guest flight regulations. Especially the access road is of special importance.

1. aviation sport is to be practiced in an environmentally friendly manner and in constructive cooperation with all other users.
2. disturbances, especially by low-level flight, are to be avoided. The greatest possible flight distance between the terrain surface and the pilot is to be maintained. This applies in particular with regard to avifauna (bird life). Within the breeding season, especially from April 1 to July 31, any disturbance of the avifauna must be avoided. 3.
3) The protected areas in the eastern part of the Nahe region, such as the Lower Nahe nature reserve, the Lower Nahe FFH area and the Nahe Valley bird sanctuary, must not be affected by flight operations.
4. flight operations are only permitted with easterly wind directions. The special landing area of Langenlonsheim must not be impaired by flight operations with paragliders.
5. all pilots must be made aware of these regulations prior to the commencement of flight operations. In this regard, a briefing by the terrain manager must also be given for the slope situation.
