Ahornach / Sand is a classy field and for hang gliders and paragliders - a small paradise. Well suited for beginners. Access by car to the take-off area. The launch site is relatively flat and faces south. The 500 meter altitude is sufficient for soaring and thermal flying. Distance flights are also possible. The landing area is large and freely accessible. Large information board of the Falkenclub Ahrntal on the landing area. Take-off and landing fees must be paid to the club. In the new Cascade pool, you can buy landing tickets for 5 euros (in 2021). There is also a nice café. Please do not land in the surrounding fields.
