From a landscape point of view, the area around the town of Reutte does not have as much to offer as the more idyllic towns of Tannheim, Pfronten and Füssen. However, the flying conditions on the Hahnenkamm above Reutte are not to be underestimated. The tendency of the departures is rather towards the south-east and the east. As a result, the thermals are often higher than in other regions. With a higher cloud base, however, higher lift is to be expected. The potential for long distance flying is significantly higher here. The field gains an extra point with the catering service at the landing field.
