On Ebenalp, the meadow flanks stretch high above the neighboring Rhine Valley.
Thanks to its ideal location, excellent infrastructure and superb thermal conditions, Ebenalp has become one of the most popular attractions in the foothills of the Alps for both paraglider and hang glider pilots. The crowds and queues at the launch site are correspondingly large, especially at weekends. The free fliers are then joined by 3 or 4 Swiss flight schools from the region, and quickly the best launch sites are gone.
Fortunately, the extensive take-off meadows can cope relatively well with this mass influx. Discipline is nevertheless the order of the day.
From Wasserauen, the gondola of the Ebenalp cable car floats to the launch sites for a measly 12 Swiss francs including landing fee.
Currently, there are no Flying Initiatives.
