Kössen is without doubt one of the centers of paragliding and hang gliding. The Unternberghorn offers beautiful take-off sites and the landing field is spacious. Furthermore, there is a great infrastructure with the cable car and the famous Fliegerbar of Sepp Himberger not far from the old biplane. At the Fliegerbar you will find information about the flying area (including danger signs) and the latest weather reports. The field is used by flying schools for altitude training. On weekends it is often very crowded - it is better to do it during the week. The flying school offers tandem flights.
