The Haldifrat is an excellent starting point for long-distance paragliding and hang-gliding flights. Many championships have already been organized from the mountain ridge above the upper station of the chairlift. The starting points are not easy to reach. After the cable car ride up to Niederrickenbach and a walk to the Haldigrat chairlift, the take-off sites are reached at about 2000 meters.
